Oscar de la Renta is one of the most classic designers in our century and he has revolutionized the red carpet with his stunning gowns. He made an appearance in Toronto earlier this week previewing his new collection for a charity fund raiser.
His Son Moises has followed in his father's footsteps and launched his own t-shirt line. Oscars inspiration is definitely intertwined through the pieces but Moises has made his own mark by mixing in a young street edge to the designs. I love the melding of both worlds...the classic with street fashion. At 25 years old, he's off to a great start by partnering with Mango and getting his art out there to the masses. I think that's what this generation is all about, looking to the past to then create something new for the future.
