Ring a ling ling.

Theres something soooo SICK about a big, fat, strong, unusual ring on a girls middle finger. Its the statement of it.... like anything goes:) ....even with a t-shirt and jeans....or a crazy glamourous outfit for a special event... a fun ring screams personality!

Fall kicks off...

Soooo....you may have noticed I have not been blogging as often as before...please do forgive me my dears...as the saying goes..."when it rains it pours"...this is the best way to describe my life right now. After getting back from a 5 week European tour, you would think I would have some down time...nope! not in Melanie land....every fall it seems the beginning of September marks an alarm for clients everywhere to need my attention and this year is no different. Both modeling and my freelance design and photography work all seem to be running full steam....at the same time! :) ..... but I would never complain, because I absolutely love what I do...so BRING IT ON BABY>>>>
But one thing that is comforting to me during all the chaos is that I enjoy this time of year for fashion. I love wearing cozy layers and hats and pulling out the old boots and wellies...theres something about this time of year that motivates us....well...motivates us to shop anyway...lol...well onward and upward people. Tank Party...

Alright girls, so summer is in full swing and we are all starting to live in tank tops...but that doesn't mean we need to be bored to tears with the same tanks we always buy... there are so many new and interesting options out there that can add a bit more character to the wardrobe. I personally love tanks that float away from the body...not only does it create a slimmer look, but its also keeps you a lot cooler on those humid summer days.

Floral Madness...

ok, so I know floral patterns are everywhere this spring...in fashion, interior design...everywhere! but I for one cannot get enough...lets face it...we are girls and we like girlie things...our secret is out. Even though we play tough and can wear power suits and our edgy tattered leather jackets...and ripped jeans...deep down, we are all just little girls who want to run around wearing pretty things. I love how feminine clothes are right now. Its like a new way of saying that young women can be powerful, creative, go getters without being forced into a suit. Being feminine is not a sign of weakness, but on the contrary... true strength comes from the heart of a women, when she knows who she is and what she is destined for...
even if she is wearing a dainty floral dress... :)
