MUCH more than MUSIC.

Well, hello there darlings...since today is Saturday, I'm making every effort to chill out and catch up with myself. This week was a busy one but one of the highlights was getting to go to Much Music with my husband Manafest for his Much On Demand live interview. He interviewed with the beautiful Sarah Taylor in front of a live audience. After running into Alice Cooper backstage...ya, you heard me...lol...we head out to Mana's show that night at The Rivoli on Queen street west. The show was awesome and we were so happy to see tons of familiar faces.

When we experience days like that, I am reminded that our life is about MUCH more than MUSIC. Its about the amazing people we meet along the way and the effect we have on the people we are surrounded by.

(Sarah Taylor is a natural beauty with great style!)

(yes, this is Alice Cooper...we did a double take too!)

Calling all things coral...

There is something so pretty about a plain face with a bright coral lip. It has a kind of vintage, cool quality. Prada featured just that in their spring line. The hair looks like the girls did it themselves intentionally, and the faces were clean with a bright pop of coral. I think coral is a cool alternative to red, its a bit more fun and perfect for lips and nails this summer...

Loosen up, would ya!

I'm really glad the shorts this year have loosened up and gained some length...Like hello! not all of us can pull off walking down the street in short shorts without looking...lets just say..."sketchy"...some of us tall chicks have long lanky legs and appreciate a bit more coverage! :) and all the tall chicks said....AMEN!

Richard Chai Love.

I'm all about the loose fitting shorts and easy to wear loose tops this summer, and I love the way Richard Chai puts it together in his recent show called Richard Chai Love. This show featured amazing looks on a lower budget then his main line, which is nice considering all the changes happening in the economy. Its really interesting how he used really pretty fabrics in a tomboyish way. See, sometimes all you need is a little love...

Mysterious Beauty.

I love the make up and color tones of the recent Fendi Fall Campaign. It reminds me of one of those old school classic undercover agent films. The use of colour and the mysterious vibe is so striking and beautiful. The ad features the lovely Jessica Stam, who by the way is a Canadian girl, and was discovered in a Tim Hortons in her hometown, Kincardine, Ontario! go figure eh?
Canadians girls rock.

pretty...shiny...edgy things...

I came across this amazing jewelery line called Dannijo, while scanning over the vogue.com site today. Dannijo is a sister duo who run their jewelery line in Manhattan, NY. I love the edgy pieces and how they are something you can wear for years to come...and you can throw on with any outfit...whether its a special event or just with a pair of jeans and a leather coat. Each piece has a special and individual quality, which is refreshing. Here are some of my fav's...

Beautiful Belly

Last week I had the honor of photographing a friend of mine who is 7 months pregnant.
Charity is a great inspiration to me because she is both talented, artistic and best of all has a great heart for people. Her and her husband Jeff head up Sonz of God Street Fashion and Epo Show Company. Both are extremely talented break dancers and have traveled the world performing for massive crowds. Yes, you heard me correctly, Charity is a b-girl...and might I add...the best female dancer I have ever met...for real.
Sonz of God is a street fashion brand that kicked off in 1998 and has since evolved into more then just a fashion line. They now offer custom hat and shirt campaigns, grafeeti wall murals, youth workshops and canvas art. Charity and Jeff combine their faith in God to tie their passions together and use them to uplift people around them. I can't wait to meet the little b-baby!
