One Legged Jockey...

ok girls...I know I have not blogged in a few days but I am just re-surfacing after 5 days of workshops with the Spire Tour. Things are going great and we are getting to discuss issues of identity and vocation with teens all over the Country. The workshops are one hour long and are designed to help teens discover how to find a sense of personal identity as well as starting to think about how they can use their natural talents and giftings to develop their career path. I feel like I am learning as I am teaching in the workshops. The Spire team are an amazing group of people and we are having a blast. I have much to share with you all but for now, seeing as I am exhausted, sitting in a hotel bed...I will share a really cool vintage shop I found the other day called the One Legged Jockey...catchy name eh? lol...

oh ya...and today we found out we got a last minute booking to play Flavo festival in Holland next week! Apparently this festival is one of the biggest in Europe:) oh yes...rock on baby!

Easy going street style.

All though London is a bustling city filled with a massive amount of people moving in every direction all at once...it seems like much of the street style is quite easy going. I love this look above with the undone hair, one shoulder ethereal drapey dress skiming the floor worn with neutral flats...this is something I would like to wear on a day off just walking around the city in and out of shops and cafes...and even the looks below, though they are "city" they still feel relaxed. Hey, if you can look beautiful and be comfortable all at the same time...you've mastered an empowering balance...sign me up. :)

London is Calling.

London is calling my name!
I feel a direct connection to this city because this is the city my Jamaican Father and Irish Mother lived when they fell in Love in the early 70's... awwww. And when it comes to year round fashion, the trench coat is a London Staple....well, keep in mind, London is not as cold as Toronto, but its definitely wet and windy...so the Trench is a practical solution. The English brand Burberry has truly mastered the original trench design, but the Current Designer for the House, Christopher Bailey, has taken the Burberry Prorsum collection to a new level by adding details, twists and character for todays English girl... and I absolutely love this new take on things. He really is taking a traditional piece and playing with new ways of wearing it. The attitude of this brand is a cool city girl who is a natural beauty, never too much make up...hair a little messy...very real. Oh London...I'm on my way:) See ya soon. xo

I heart London!

Whenever Chris and I hit London, I am always blown away with the strong fashion in the streets, the energy of the people and the overall attitude in their swagger! London'ers have a strut and confidence like no other city. They all look like they just threw on clothes, walked out the door and just happen to look fabulous. They never look overdone... in fact, they look underdone...but perfect. Here are some of my favourite photos from a Burberry campaign that really exude the attitude....I heart London!
