Michael Kors is known for his American Sports wear collections. He is constantly bringing out new ideas but still keeping his look classic and high end. Every once in a while I will take a quick walk through the Local Boutique just to admire the textures and cut of his designs. Here is a selection of my favourite looks from his fall show...

Beautiful.

I think my favourite part of photographing weddings is shooting the beauty shots of the bride. Last month I shot Hailey and Scotts wedding and it was an amazing day. Hailey was a stunning bride and it was easy to photograph her. Here are a few shots of her before she left for the wedding location...

Delicately Strong.

I came across these images on a photography blog and they stopped me in my tracks. They feature pieces by Designer Yiqing Yin. She is originally from China but went to school in Paris after living as a Refugee. She also worked as a model and models in her own promo below...
I love the above photo. It feels like something out of an old history book...with the powdery tones of grey and desaturated pink. They feel almost ghostly...so they truly stand out amongst the very modern clean images that we see everywhere these days. I also love the feeling of the last pic...with that flowing white dress. There is such a feeling of strength in the photo, even though she is wearing such a delicate piece. But I think that is the secret of every woman...even though we may be delicate and love pretty things, we have an inner strength that rises up and surprises the people around us. We are delicately strong...

Stunner.

I just had to stop and admire this beautiful Fashion Campaign for Ports Fall 2010. This model looks like shes made of alabaster...with pale olive skin mixed with cool tones in the photos. I love the dresses in this campaign. They are constructed in a way that they drape over the body and have a classic feel. The idea of such gorgeous fabrics and stunning beauty placed in such an industrial location, creates a beautiful tension, which makes the girl stand out even more. It makes you wonder, what in the world is a delicate beautiful person doing in a cold, damp place like that? But I think that's what makes it interesting.

Sleepless in Seattle.

I head out on tour last Monday, needing a bit of a break from the craziness back home...and what do I get...? well, I wouldn't exactly call it a break. I jumped in a car with my husband and our band of three other men and began traveling for hours on end from show to show. We even drove through the night to make it to each show...and let me tell you... sleeping in a moving truck is not really sleeping. Especially when you have long limbs that are folded up like a pretzel in the back seat....Sleep was a luxury on this trip. But, in the midst of all the hustle, we had a day off in one of my favourite American cities...Seattle. We visited the hubby's record label, hit up Thai Toms...the best Thai spot ever...and of course wandered through great vintage shops. It was a much needed day to recover. Here is a few pics of me and the man....

Boredom & Beauty.

Frustration & Boredom on my flight home led to weird but interesting images. In this case, I thought I would take some pics of the accessories I was wearing...they are all so individually pretty that when I put them all together, the images were actually quite beautiful. I was pretending I was shooting them for a accessory story for a high end fashion mag...hey why not...imagination is such a powerful tool.
Each one of these pieces just flat out make me happy.....

I recently picked up this faux fur scarf at a local H and M and I absolutely love it. I must admit though, people look at me weird when I wear it...maybe they think its real. Well its Faux Fur people! chill :)

The peacock feather hair accessory was hand crafted by my friend Rebecca. She is the Owner of Cherry Apple Art, an art and Hair Accessory company and her work is incredible. And last but not least, I found this adorable camera ring at a little vintage shop in Seattle on our day off. Its the perfect blend of two things I love...big chunky rings and photography. Now, having said that, wearing a ring that's a camera is a bit literal...and..well...kind of cheezy:)...but so adorable, I couldn't resist! It just makes me laugh. I might as well wear a t-shirt that reads "Im a photographer"... lol

Resurfacing.

well hello there lovelies...
I know its been a while since my last blog but I am truly resurfacing from a crazy month of Modeling, Photography and traveling with my hubby on a Rock tour along the west coast. As always I used the time on my flight to play and ended up creating some cool images by shooting out the window. Here are some shots I took with my iphone.
