is it just me or does getting dressed everyday feel like play? I mean, life can feel a bit too serious sometimes.... right? when I see people strutin' down the street who look like they've just thrown together a playful and fun outfit, it reminds me to LIGHTEN UP! bottom line is who cares what's "hot" right now... or whatever.... style is style. Clothes can be bought but style is about personality. Here are some random and lovely looks off look book.

Behind the curtain.
(click link to watch video)
I just saw this Brilliant behind the scenes vid from the Met's Costume Institute Gala, an evening of ode to all things fashion, held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York.
There is something so dramatic about this behind the scenes...
Im not sure if its just the stellar song "Dog Days are Over" by Florence + the Machine..... or the fact that everywhere the camera turns is a shot of some of the most influencial people in todays fashion and pop culture.... all at one event, dressed in completely exquisite get ups. Many of which were rocking pieces by the late Alexander McQueen, whom was honoured at the event.
Talk about a gathering.... only question I have is.... soooo why did I not get an invite? ;)

changes.
ok.... am I the only one who's jaw hit the floor when I saw this Vogue cover featuring Emma Watson? I mean....WOW! Mario Testino does it again photographing another gorgeous cover.
I read the Emma Watson article while on a plane the other day and in a weird way I felt like I related to this chick! lol.... Well.... kind of. True say, I was never really into Harry Potter... in fact.... brace yourselves.... I did not actually see the movies..... wait for reaction...... :)
Sorry Potter fans.... it just didn't do it for me.... there. I said it....... moving on!
But while reading this article, Emma was sharing how she basically grew up (surrounded by boys) on set of this movie over the last decade and her entire life was built around being this one character, and now that the movie series was over, it was time to re-create who she was not only in her personal life but also as an actor. In a strange way, I can relate to that. I mean, there are lots of changes happening in my life as well and I do feel like I am re-creating myself. I too have always been "one of the boys" on tours all over the world....Like the person I saw myself as for years is fading away and a new person is being discovered. Kinda Deep eh? lol.... but hey, isn't that what life is all about....changes...?
Life is change.
Life is Development.
Life is Metamorphosis.
Sometimes we want to be at the end of the process, because we assume that its the point when everything will be perfect. But lets keep in mind that when we "arrive" is when a new process will start. Changes are good. Changes mean we are alive. So keep changing.
xo.
