free people

free people is one of my favourite clothing brands...
I like the attitude of the clothes...they are really comfortable and cool...and not trying too hard to be trendy. They feel eclectic...like they have been in the back of your closet for years and you just happen to find them one day and throw them on...

Happy Monday ladies:)

West Coast

Theres something so stunner yet casual about a long drapey skirt....even if just worn with a knit sweater, or cotton tank....This is a shot I found that I think represents LA street style....
LOVE THIS LOOK...

I'm a little tea cup.

When I checked out photos from Mary Katrantzou's recent show in London, I suddenly began to hum that cute little nursery rhyme "Im a little tea Cup short and stout...".... oh come on...you know the one...and Im sure you are humming it right now as you read this... wink.
But I couldn't help myself...these amazing looks reminded me of those dainty, gorgeous, hand painted, China tea cups... you know the ones our Grandmothers collect and store in cabinets... the ones that are so pretty and delicate we are afraid to use them. In the same way, these looks are so intricate and beautiful, I mean, we may not wear them day to day....but they sure are inspiring to look at. Be Inspired...

just another day in NYC.

2011 Fall Fashion week in NYC brought out all kinds of fun and interesting ways to express style. I came across these street style shots and they just made me happy. I love how New York is all about fashion and art....but done in your own way....cause as we all know... style is not just about the "newest thing"...or "latest trend"...
Style is how you put it all together.
Its how we integrate that slightly weird jacket we found in a vintage shop with a very classic dress.... or how we go through our mothers closets and find that gorgeous scarf from the 70's and pair it with a silk racer back tank we found the other day at H and M. Its about enjoying getting dressed everyday and not taking fashion too seriously.
This blog today is a tribute to all the people out there who make us do a double take...

here comes the sun...

Ok, I know what your thinking... its freezing outside... and here in Toronto there was a blizzard yesterday...lol... but cheer up girls...the winter will not last forever. Soon enough we will be digging through our closets in search of something to wear for the sudden warm days that appear.... and realizing our pale legs need some emergency self tanner...asap! :) Well, to give you all a head start, here is a look ahead to some of my favourite looks that H and M will be releasing for Spring. Can't you just hear the song... "here comes the sun little darlin'... "
Enjoy! xo

little diamond on Queen.

Hello Beauties:)
Its been a while since my last blog, but I've been working on several creative projects with Vision City... and cranking out the goods... but I finally got a moment to share something with you all. I came across this adorable little vintage shop online that I must have walked by several times, since its on Queen Street West in Toronto... Its called Cabaret, and it looks like a true Vintage diamond. They feature styles from the 20s to the 70s and have been known to have celebrities drop in while they are in Toronto...people like Liv Tyler, Bjork, Mandy Moore, Feist, K-os, Kaesha and even the twin Designer team Dsquared2. I checked out the prices and they do seem a little expensive but on the other hand, these pieces have been preserved from decades of history and as the saying goes, everything goes in a circle... and comes back into style. If you are a vintage fan like me, you may want to pay a visit to this little shop the next time your on Queen...I know I will:)
Here is their campaign images and their store front so you wont just pass it by...
oh ya and the address is 672 Queen Street West, Toronto
